This was the very first album I bought with my own money. I was in the 10th grade and up to this point all my music was filtered by my parents. I’d heard “Fly Me Courageous”, and was simply amazed. After buying it, I listened to the tape until it snapped. Then I taped it back together and kept on going. “Let’s Go Dancing” and “Look What You’ve Done to Your Brother” were my absolute favorites. About 4 years ago that tape was lost, and I have yet to replace it due to hard times and a tight budget. I still remember falling asleep to this album. My many thanks for fond memories.
I recently purchsed Sirius sat. radio. I just heard this song on channel 23 “Hair Nation” WOW!!!!! I was blown away!!!! I have not heard it in years. I fell in love with it all over again!!! YOU GUYS KICK ASS!!!!!!
These guys are timeless, really wish they could make it towards Memphis, Tn sometime. They have a lot of fans this way.
please come to Dallas Texas–we miss you!
Heard of you guys for the first time on XM Hair Nation. I just had to crank it up and still do whenever Fly Me Courageous comes on. I love the line “Mother America is brandishing her weapons, She keeps me safe and warm with threats and misconception.” So true then and very true now. Gotta come to Baltimore sometime!
HOW BOUT A 20TH ANIVERSERY TOUR THIS FALL CELEBRATING THIS CLASSIC ALBUM PERFORMED START TO FINISH!!! GREAT SEEING YOU TWICE THIS PAST WEEK!
DNC KICKS ASS! There just aren’t bands like this anymore. Be lookin’ for you in Cleveland!!
I ventured out to see DNC at the Mohegan Sun on the eve of 8/17. My first opportunity to see the guys live after being a long-time fan. The crowd was subdued ; but Kevin, Tim, Dave and Sadler put on the best sounding , no bull shit rock and roll..R&B with country twist show that I’ve ever seen. Kevn’s writing and voice and Tim and Dave’s rythym and Sadler out on the fringe. Some of the best that America has to offer in my opinion.
Thanks for the show ! Gerry
